Wholesale pricing is unique in that your discount rate is a set percentage over the actual processing cost of each
individual transaction based on the Visa or MasterCard interchange category it falls in to. Most merchant service
providers set their merchant's rates with a tier-based pricing model where all transactions are billed at a
qualified base rate and a mid-qualified or non-qualified surcharge is applied to those transactions that fall into a
more expensive Interchange category.
