Non-Qualified Surcharge +2.00%
Per Transaction Fee $0.25

Monthly Minimum Fee $25.00

Our Tier-based pricing model is unique compared to most merchant account providers due to the breakout of Check Cards. Unlike the 3-tiered rate systems used by many in the industry, we have created a 4th tier to cover the lower cost of processing Visa and MasterCard Check Card transactions.

Check Cards have quickly become the most popular form of electronic payment in the U.S. so it seemed only logical to pass the savings associated with Check Card transactions on to our customers.

A tiered pricing merchant account lends itself to every transaction processed being designated into one of four different tiers:

Tier 1 - Check Card or Consumer Signature Debit Card Transactions

Swiped transactions of qualified check card or debit card transactions will qualify at Tier 1.

Tier 2 - Consumer Qualified Credit Card Transaction

Swiped standard issue consumer credit cards not qualifying as a Check Card transaction will qualify at Tier 2.

Tier 3 - Mid-Qualified Surcharge

Transactions that are key-entered rather than swiped where required information such as Address Verification (AVS) and CVV2 are also provided will qualify at Tier 3.

Tier 4 - Non-Qualified Surcharge

Transactions not providing required information, delayed settlement transactions, Corporate card transactions and many International card transactions will all qualify at Tier 4.

Transaction Fee

This is a flat fee charged for each transaction a merchant processes. Check Card transaction fees are higher than Consumer Qualified Credit transactions.

Batch Fee

The Batch Fee is charged with each settlement. Most merchants settle their batches once daily and the processor cost associated with batch settlement is simply viewed as a separate transaction.

Account Maintenance Fee

Many merchant account providers call this fee the "Monthly Statement Fee". In actuality this fee covers the cost of not only mailing out your monthly statement, but also the cost of funding the 24/7 Technical Support Help Desk.

Monthly Minimum Fee

Monthly Minimum Fees may or may not be billed and are determined on a case-by-case basis. The reasoning behind a Monthly Minimum Fee is that we do not turn a profit on merchants that do not process transactions. The minimum is calculated by multiplying your qualified discount rate against your total sales for the month. This amount is then subtracted from the Monthly Minimum amount and you are charged the difference. In many cases we will waive the Monthly Minimum Fee. This should be discussed with your Account Representative when you sign up for a merchant account.

Chargebacks And Retrievals

A Chargeback is the result of a transaction being disputed by the cardholder or the issuing bank of a credit card. In some chargeback instances the issuing bank may request supporting documentation for a particular transaction (A Retrieval) including a sales draft, a signed receipt, signed invoice or work order or proof of delivery.

Voice Authorization Fee

In some instances a Voice Authorization may be requested by the cardholder's issuing bank. This may be the result of the use of a dormant card or the first-time use of an un activated card. Merchants may also initiate a voice authorization if traditional authorization means are unavailable due to a power outage or equipment malfunction. In either case a Voice Authorization Fee is applied for each instance.
